Must Visit!
MUST SEE. This is like heaven on earth. Secluded with 8 private-like sunbathing areas by the waterfalls you can swim in. It has a very luxurious vibe, away from the crowds.
Ask for Oliver, he will show you around. He is extremely tentative and kind, out phone died so we couldn’t find our way back to the hotel and he went out of his way to help us. Great service, great ambiance, fantastic overall.

Cool Hiking Experience!
Just got back from the volcanic trail and wow, what a cool experience. The scenery was insane and the trail was easy to follow and not too tough, but still felt like a fun little adventure.
Big shoutout to the staff – everyone was super chill and helpful. Especially Oliver – he was awesome. Super friendly, knew a ton about the area, and just made the whole vibe even better. You can tell he really loves what he does.
Definitely worth checking out if you’re into nature, cool geology stuff, or just want to get some fresh air and killer views.
Surreal Landscapes
Our experience was unbeatable. Yesterday, we took the ATV and trail tour with Oliver and Shirley, who imbue us with the charisma and warmth of Costa Ricans and their "pura vida" spirit. The views and landscapes they shared with us seemed surreal (Kurú exceeded any expectations one could have, even in video or photographs, these do not capture the beauty of the place). We ate fruits along the way and others picked from the farm itself, all delicious and organic. In short, we highly recommend this experience. Thank you for everything.

Highly recommend
We did the red trail (longest one) which took us about 2 hours. The trail itself is very up and down but has some spectacular views (cloud permitting) of Arenal. Really enjoyed the trail and saw lots of different wildlife including a coati, cayman, monkeys, numerous birds, leaf cutter ants and lizards.

Hike and Lunch at Arenal 1968
Really nice hiking trails with great views of Arenal and the lake. We saw some great water birds including boat billed herons, muscovy ducks, ahingas, and northern jacanas near the pond at the end of the hike. We also had a great lunch at the small covered cafe that is set up at the end of the hike. Thanks Jeremy for the great service and for the food recommendations, the nachos were so good!
